WHEN MY FATHER BECAME A BUSH

It’s a story about a war and exile shown from a small girl’s  – Toda – perspective. But narrator’s identity is defined not only by a refugee status and war experience.
Toda’s story is first of all a tale about her home, imagination, memories, her grandma and letters from her father, who became a bush. The journey recounted by Toda is a record of how she sees the world, which, in the face of questions asked by her, seems to be even more absurd and illogical.
A performance is accompanied by educational activities aimed at 11-15 year old youth.

The production was helped out financially within the limits of second edition of Jan Dorman Competition, organized by Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute and from Ministry of Culture and National Heritage wherewithal.
